Chemistry is divided into three sections i.e. Physical, Organic & Inorganic Chemistry. The questions asked from Inorganic are unambiguous. [Physical Chemistry] 
  1. PhysicalChemistry consists of theoretical part significantly and you will be presentedwith numerical problems in those areas.
  2. “SomeBasic Concepts of Chemistry" primarily deals with stoichiometric calculations,S.I system of units and Laws of chemical combinations.
  3.  Thus repeatedly revising formulas and definitions will help in fetching full marks.
  4. InChapter -2, “Structure of atoms”, we need to focus on the properties ofsubatomic particles, Spectra and atomic models(theories) and some fundamental numerical problems dealingwith frequency-wavelength relation and Hydrogen spectra.
  5. “ChemicalBonding and Molecular Structure” consist of important theories which deal withbonding. Apart from occasional question in Hybridization and Bond parameters, italso includes questions from VSEPR theory, Molecular orbital theory and Valencebond theory.
  6. A comparative study of all the bonding theories in a tabular form will help in differentiating the ideas.
  7. In “Statesof Matter”, gaseous laws and graphs for gaseous laws need to be studied.

NEET Chemistry Tricks & Tips [Inorganic chemistry]
  1. Classification of Elements and Periodicity shows how the elements are grouped and arranged in the periodic table. Visualizing the trends may help one to predict the nature of the compound or its properties.
  2. “Hydrogen”,delineates the properties and compounds of hydrogen.  Tabulating different compound with their properties may give a clear picture about changes.
  3. “s- Block Elements” concentrates on the physical and chemical properties of the alkali and alkaline earth metals and its uses.
  4. “p- Block Elements” ( I and II) covers all the nature of group 13 to group 18 elements.
  5. “d- and f- block Elements”, explains and compares the two block elements and shows the analogies caused by poor shielding effect of 4f and 5f electrons.
  6. The above three chapters can to be scrutinized for the difference between them and their uses. These three chapters collectively carries 10 % of mark in NEET
  7. “Environmental Chemistry”, deals with the chemicals or compounds that degrade our ecosystem. It also proposes the counter measure to decrease, global environmental degradation.

  1. In General Organic Chemistry, the reason for tetravalence of carbon and shapes of organic molecules, Nomenclature of organic compounds and different types of reaction are discussed. Don’t memorize the concepts it may led to confusion and increased complexity.
  2. Hydrocarbons are the compounds comprised of hydrogen and carbon predominantly. Revisit this chapter every alternate day and give yourself a test. This will familiarize you with the concepts.
  3. In “Organic Compounds Containing Halogen”, tabularize the properties and reaction for a bird’s eye view about the chapter.
  4. “Alcohol, Phenol & Ether”, gives some properties to the bonded compound. Knowing the reason behind these propertieswill set one free from the burden of memorizing.
  5. “Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic Acid”, are called carbonyl compound i.e. a carbon atom is double bonded to an oxygen atom. Each reactionis inter-relatable, so creating a mind map will help to master the reactions.

  8. Polymers: this chapter deals with the different kinds of polymer, their preparation method and their commercial uses. So, create a flowchart that could lead you from one reaction or concept to other.
  9. Chemistry in everyday life: This chapter deals with drugs, enzymes and other commercially useful chemicals. Reactions and properties of diverse organic compounds those are useful in manufacture of commercially profitable compounds.
